A number of environments from four social institutions held a World Silent Day campaign on Saturday, March 6 in Kuta Bali. The activist has called the surrounding society around Kuta to Legian to support the World Silent Day by not using any motorize vehicles, and electronic tools for four hours on next March 21. The action was inspired by Hindu's Nyepi Day where people stay at home and stop doing their daily routines just for one day. "around 20 thousand tons of emissions are successfully reduced every Nyepi day in Bali," said Herni Frilia Hastuti, a volunteer for the World Silent Day. This campaign had been wide spread in other country such as Germany and Australia and was hoped to help reducing the glasshouse effect ad preventing the global warning.
